Al Meeqat Travel arranges Umrah and Hajj for pilgrims across the UK. Our Umrah packages start from £630 per person and include return flights, your Saudi visa, hotels in Makkah and Madinah, and transfers between the airport and both holy cities. We also arrange Ramadan Umrah, December and Christmas Umrah, family and group trips, Hajj 2027, and Ziyarat tours to Iran and Iraq.
Whether this is your first pilgrimage or your tenth, the aim is the same: a trip that is planned properly, priced honestly and supported from the UK, so you can give your time in Masjid al-Haram and Masjid an-Nabawi to worship rather than logistics.

You can perform Umrah at any time of year outside the closure around Hajj. What changes is the weather, the crowds and the price. This guide covers the rest of the 2026/27 season:

If you want the best balance of weather and price, November and January are hard to beat. For the reward, nothing compares with Ramadan. For families, December is usually the easiest.
The current Umrah season, set by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, began on 31 May 2026. It winds down in three steps ahead of Hajj 2027: new Umrah visas stop on 9 March 2027, pilgrims must arrive in Saudi Arabia by 23 March 2027, and everyone on an Umrah visa has to fly home by 7 April 2027. We check the latest Ministry and Nusuk notices before confirming any booking near these dates.
The headline price covers the big-ticket items: your return flight to Jeddah or Madinah, the Saudi visa, your hotel rooms in both holy cities, and the road or train journeys in between. We also help you book your Umrah permit on the Nusuk app, add Ziyarat where your package includes it, and give you a UK number to ring at any point.
Things you pay for separately, unless we agree otherwise: meals your hotel doesn’t provide, travel insurance, your MenACWY meningitis jab and spending money. You see all of this in writing before paying a penny.
Every Umrah begins in Makkah at Masjid al-Haram, the largest masjid in the world and home of the Kaaba. Here you perform tawaf, seven circuits of the Kaaba, then sa’i between the hills of Safa and Marwah, before cutting or shaving your hair to complete your Umrah.
Most pilgrims then travel to Madinah, a little over two hours away on the Haramain high-speed train, to pray in Masjid an-Nabawi, the Prophet’s Masjid ﷺ, and visit the Rawdah with a permit booked on Nusuk. Ziyarat in both cities takes in places such as Jabal al-Nour, Masjid Quba and Mount Uhud.

Prices start at £630 per person for a 7-day 3 star Umrah with flights, visa, hotels and transfers. A 7-day 4 star package starts at £755, and 5 star at £1,355.
Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam and takes place on set days in Dhul Hijjah. It is obligatory once in a lifetime for those who are able. Umrah is the lesser pilgrimage. It takes a few hours, and you can perform it at any time of year outside the closure around Hajj.
November and January offer the best mix of mild weather and lower prices. December suits families over Christmas, and Ramadan brings the greatest reward but the highest prices.
